Bonham Academy. GreatSchools Rating. Parent Rating Average. Bonham Academy is within San Antonio ISD, so it will be limited by the school district's mandates to drill, teach to the test, and to do just the minimum to ensure enrollment and funding.
The principal has been at this school for three years and has failed to show leadership and creativity. Her actions are dictated by the district's anxieties and fears, due to its "unacceptable" rating, because of low test scores in the school district overall.
It is not a true dual-language school, since there are few actual Spanish-speaking children in each class. So much potential there.
Parent Review 9y ago. Brackenridge High School. I am very disappointed with the Principal and staff of this once great school. They managed to drag the Inspiration Award winning school so low that it is now on probation for the next two years. The principal and staff treat the students like prisoners on concentrate on looks versus truly doing their duty of teaching and mentoring the students.
The Texas Education Agency sent word of the school's probation and has given parents and students the option to transfer to a better school.
I hope the staff takes a long hard look at their lack luster performance and choosing to try to return Brackenridge to its once great status. We owe it to our students, state, and country. What Locals Say about Downtown. At least 94 Trulia users voted on each feature. It's dog friendly. There are sidewalks. Yards are well-kept. Car is needed. There's holiday spirit. Parking is easy. People would walk alone at night. Streets are well-lit. It's quiet. It's walkable to restaurants.

One is small and close by, but there's a large one that's pretty good also. Just don't let it pee on the Alamo and you'll be fine.
