Everything is close by. Love it here. Only thing that would make it better would be a dog park. The tree canopy is divine with some trees even stretching so far out that they are touching others across the street. There is a bicycle path right through the Heights that connects to the Bayou bike system.

Rental bicycles are stationed all around. And the buses go straight from Heights Boulevard to downtown. There are several farmers markets within blocks. More of a family feel in the Heights. Lights in the Heights and White Linen Nights are super fun in the area too.

Lots of local vendors. Commute to the galleria is less than 30 minutes. Great location. Great access to freeways. I bike at night. Also, the area is notorious for awesome places to eat and drink. We stay away from the crowds, share wine and stories. We all watch out for each other. Everyone has planted beautiful flowers in their gardens. Can walk anywhere, dinner, ice cream, shopping.

Love it here n". Great light shows and live music. Coffee shops and lots of families. Some of the best quiet spots to enjoy Houston! Very fun and lots of activities for young people and families.

Very community minded. Resident 2y ago. The neighborhood feels just suburban enough to feel like home, but is also super close to downtown and all other cool area neighborhoods. Everyone picks up after their pets and there is a great dog park close by! Lots of babies kids and dogs. People meet and know each other. And watch out for each other also. Quiet, safe and with walking distance to restaurants and shops ". People are polite and seem to respect others property. All neighbors have dogs on leaches but there is a large empty lot where pet owners allow their dogs to run free.

Which is worrisome. The only thing to watch for is people who want to steal and vandalism. Not by your community but outsiders. Driving, carpooling or vanpooling are the only commuting options. The growing season is virtually all year long so Houston is very green giving me such an uplifted feeling. Well, that was 15 years ago as I look out at puffy brilliant white clouds painting a blue sky with ducks gliding across the pond beyond my backyard. Resident 3y ago.
