My sympathy is with you and your family. Pat Dodson nee Drew - old friend. My lifelong association with your family is a part of the fabric of my growing up in London. Dale was a "larger than life" guy to me. Few and far between. In my youth I always new he had my back.

His legacy will live on through notable hallowed halls, and likely most important to him through the continued proof in the family he and Marion created. His honest approachable character and thoughtful interest in my life will be remembered most by me.

I feel lucky to have known him. He was someone I looked up to. Dave Snipe Mendham was the batboy for both teams. Bobby Deakin was a midget callup.

And always in the background was London clothier Lou Ball , the sponsor with the big heart who was always ready to lend support. The London Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to include the London Lou Ball junior teams among its inductees, truly two teams that made and deserved headlines then and now.
