I thought it was one of the toughest classes I had taken at the time. However, in the ensuing years during my career, his instruction proved to be among the most valuable I have ever received. Kudos to Prof. Mar 17th, He is the most miserable professor on the planet. His knowledge of engineering concepts is minimal, he enjoys belittling and humiliating his students and will use any excuse to fail you.
Don't be surprised to find that his exams have nothing at all to do with the course content. Just awful. Jan 15th, Jan 2nd, He is not a good professor His ideas about capstone projects are bad and he enjoys making fun of your projects. Nov 16th, He just doesn't know how to teach engineering. Aug 30th, May 1st, Worst class I've ever taken at BU. Useful content, but incredibly challenging and dense.
He discourages group work, except for on the labs, and has minimal office hours that are always crowded. Although before the class did not have in-class exams, it now DOES have very difficult in class exams.
Dec 20th, A really great professor; cares a lot about his students. There are no tests, just homework and a final project, which he gives a lot of guidance on. His grading is fair, and he is always willing to give help during office hours. Also although not a prerequisite, prior experience with Python made the course much easier. May 17th, Textbook: Yes. One of the more helpful Professors on campus, if not the most.
You can tell he really cares about his students, and often will go out of his way to ensure you have everything you need to do well in the class. I recommend attending his lectures, as he explains everything very thoroughly. Jan 5th, I had a great time in class. Played club for Grit Lax Also lettered in soccer for four years and was a two-time first team all-district National Honor Society.
