Optimists purchase, prepare and serve meals for the families in residence. Have a look at the team list, future scheduled dates and some of our past meals here. Our members staff kettles every year in support of this program.

To get more information click here. Our club has three vital, independent committees that provide house league and competitive soccer and baseball programs for girls and boys. Congratulations to new baseball chair Chris Devlin and new soccer chair Shannon Seidel.
Over 2, youth are served each year. The programs are making plans for the season. Our club donated this amount during our last fiscal year ended September 30th, to charities and programs that benefit youth health, education, safety and recreation. See the list. Oratorical Contest The Oratorical Contest is back for Since Oakridge Optimist Soccer has registered more than youth players a season.
That number puts our local soccer facilities at their limits over the four month outdoor season. The players range in age from 4 years to 18 years old - both boys and girls. The majority of the registrations - approximately - are House League soccer players. The 80 teams participate in more than games during the course of the 12 week season which also keeps our 20 to 30 youth referees gainfully employed and active as well. Oakridge offers a House League program for boys and girls born in to Team Achievements Oakridge Competitive Soccer.
The remaining players participate in District and Regional soccer competition which takes them to other cities for scheduled League games and tournaments.
Oakridge Optimists are represented by 18 teams in those Leagues. There are 18 youth teams competing in the outdoor season. Seven of our teams compete indoors when the summer schedule is complete. Soccer does all its registrations in person at OakridgeSecondary School. There are 5 dates scheduled for the season — one in December, two each in January and February.
